Classic trance heads will definitely recall producer Solarstone’s Seven Cities from way back in 1999, among the first of the Balearic trance anthems, which has been re-released three times and now sold in excess of half a million copies. Remixed by Armin van Buuren amongst others, its instantly recognizable sunset/sunrise-sound legacy is still heard in tracks today.
Richard Mowatt, commonly known by his stage name Solarstone (formerly spelt Solar Stone), is an English trance DJ and producer from Birmingham. The music project Solarstone was founded as a trio, and also used the pseudonyms Young Parisians, Liquid State and Z2. Over the years, Solarstone has developed a reputation for keeping to the original and classic trance sound.
With the albums Anthology One, RainStarsEternal, Anthology One, Touchstone, Pure and most recently the cryptically titled “- - - - ” he’s also released a quintet of critically revered long players. Having championed trance’s true nature from his very first release, the last five years have seen Solarstone push its origin sound, almost singlehandedly, back to the top of the genre’s agenda.
Within its first year, Solarstone’s ideology of Pure Trance had developed into a bona fide musical movement. It’s one which has been captured by a major a mix-compilation series, worldwide Pure Trance club and festival shows, the Pure Trance and Pure Progressive record labels and its weekly radio show.
Now standing at five volumes, the Solarstone Presents Pure Trance series has seen him team up with co-mixing like minds including Giuseppe Ottaviani, Orkidea, Bryan Kearney, Gai Barone, Sneijder and Forerunners to mix-comp-define the movement’s sound.
Having now touched every electronic music capital, the Pure Trance tour has sold-out shows in spots including Miami, Ibiza, Amsterdam, New York, Los Angeles and Sydney, at festivals including Tomorrowland, Cream Ibiza, A State Of Trance, Global Gathering, TomorrowWorld, Stereosonic, FSOE and numerous others. Pure Trance Radio is now broadcast across some 30 plus FM & Internet stations to a listenership now in excess of 8 million worldwide.
With the launch of Pure Trance Recordings and its sub-label Pure Progressive, the PureTrance label group has risen to a position as one of the best sellers on Beatport. In partnership with esteemed Dutch music house Black Hole Recordings, it brought a label platform to the movement’s most gifted music makers. Solarstone behind a pair of CDJs is something that every electronic dance music lover, planet-wide, should witness at least once in their clubbing lifetimes.
Line up for the night will also feature two of the best of Malaysia’s current crop of trance exponents – Boris Foong and misterAriffin.

Love & talent for music continues to grow with intensity for Boris Foong, harvesting his name into the Malaysian electronic dance music culture. He marks his signature DJ selections with Deep House, Techno, and distinctly Progressive & Uplifting Trance. And also prioritises creativity & stylise stage visuals for many of the local and international DJ acts on the main-stages.
A multi-instrumentalist himself, with the longevity of growing up under his mother's music school, D'Music House. A lover of all things music, technology, top notch creative arts & stage performances. It all started in the year 2004, at the age of 14, when he discovered his interest with the technicality of DJing and the world of music. Like his mentors, Excessive Records' Callen, Bryan Burger and DJ Fono, he strives to push boundaries to be one of the most prominent and sought-after figures in the electronic dance music community in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He is also a close collaborator with DJ/music producer Ramsey Westwood for their music productions.

This classically trained pianist is at the forefront of defining trance and big room sound in the Malaysian scene. No two sets are the same, his technical flexibility is demonstrated by his ability to play to his audience in the right moment.
misterAriffin rose from a simple fill-in DJ role at late noughties KL clubbing hotspot Maison, before being entrusted with warming up duties for visiting DJs. In the years that followed, he has honed his signature sound, described as driving, percussive melodies. Often citing Carl Cox, Sander van Doorn, John Digweed and Markus Schulz as his inspiration, this dedication to his art has seen him guesting most of Kuala Lumpur's large dancefloors.
