Local party organisers Spicy Riddim Club have a soft spot for African music and Brazilian infuenced fare, with their nights in KL featuring dancehall and Afrobeats tunes to the sounds of Bailefunk from the Favela's of Brazil.
They are back with their first club show of 2020 (Saturday 1 February) with special guests Tera Kòrá and CHAMOS on the lineup at Pisco Bar KL
Tera Kòrá is a Rotterdam-based music producer and DJ with roots from the sunny Caribbean island of Curacao. Known for his signature ‘Soulswing’ sound, Tera Kòrá has integrated his experience with trap music with elements from his tropical background into a new exciting genre. He dropped his first original single No Bad Days just a year ago (2019) and received instant recognition followed by a second release on indie label Majestic Casual, a track premiere on Complex and shows in Europe and Asia. The highlight of 2019 was his debut show at Lowlands Festival. His unique blend of R&B & Tropical percussion will set the basis for what is yet to come.
DJ duo Chamos have been friends since high school and are making friends on the go wherever they spin their tunes. Chamos reside in the Netherlands, but nowadays they are active worldwide. Chamos’ sound can be described as a mix of hip hop, R&B, Afro, and future sounds topped with a funky flavour. Not only can you hear this in their sets, but also in their smooth edits that have been skyrocketing on Soundcloud and played worldwide.
Supporting the guests, our very own Daaliah and Reddi Rocket in the Club, while the Terrace downstairs sees Roshan and Lionel Rizki spice up the tropical vibes.
