Seminal KL bass drum’n’bass night Superduperliquid makes a return early next month, taking up a new monthly residency in the Club at Le Noir KL from Thursday 4 October 2018. Brought to you by KL’s long standing Loops Collective, expect a night of liquid,, soulful and deep roller drum’n’bass, from the Loops posse of DJ Low, Ken DMA, Mac, Yikkz and Zickmastiff.
From the era of analogue to digital, DJ Low has been in the KL scene, exploring electronic since the early 90s. Back then, he was pretty much into funk, soul, hip hop, acid jazz, chill out stuffs, then picking up drum’n’bass since its infant days being introduced into the KL scene in the mid late 90s. in KL. While keeping mostly to non-mainstream vibes, he’s had fun at the World DMC Championships in 2000, he’s played some gig abroad in Europpe and Asia over the years, judged, organised DJ competitions locally, founded Loops Collective and Bionics DJ Acedmy, now heads Take Off Records, and dabbles in house music too as part of the Low & MamaDayo project.
KL-based Englishman Ken DMA brings with him a wealth of experience entertaining dancefloors across Europe and Asia. Having cut his teeth in the UK drum’n’bass scene, DJing, promoting, label managing and producing, Ken has expanded beyond a singular music taste and is now known for his eclectic range of music selection. Think drum’n’bass, jungle and breakbeat to bassline house, UK garage, jackin’ house and funk & soul, and energetic DJ performances. Currently holding residences at Taboo nights and with KL’s premier drum’n’bass nights with Loops Collective, Ken has acquired a reputation for versatility and can be heard around the city delivering high octane dance floor music.
Also in for the night, Loops Collective and Superduperliquid stalwart Mac, as well as the newer generation in Yikkz and Zickmastiff.
