SuperDuperLiquid Drum'n'bass at Le Noir KL 17 January 2019

Le Noir KL and Loops Collective present a special Superduperliquid drum'n'bass night at Le Noir KL in the Club on 17 January 2019 with special guest Vidual, together with Loops Collective’s own DJ Low, Ken DMA, and along with Mac and Yikzz.

It’s all set this Thursday for a special SuperDuperLiquid drum’n’bass night at Le Noir KL Club (1st floor) featuring massive neuro funk producer Vidual from Estonia. Vidual (Sten Põldoja) is a new and upcoming drum’n’bass producer from Estonia. Influenced by names like Phace, Noisia and The Sect, Vidual is trying to push the boundaries of sound, and break loose of the bland generic, mainly focusing on rhythms and sound design.

KL-based Englishman Ken Dma brings with him a wealth of experience entertaining dancefloors across Europe and Asia. Having cut his teeth in the UK drum’n’bass scene (some two decades ago), DJing, promoting, label managing and producing, Ken has expanded beyond a singular music taste and is now known for his eclectic range of music selection. Think drum’n’bass, jungle and breakbeat to bassline house, UK garage, jackin’ house and funk and soul, and energetic DJ performances. Currently holding residences at Elysium’s Taboo nights and with KL’s premier drum’n’bass nights with Loops Collective, Ken has acquired a reputation for versatility and can be heard around the city delivering high octane dance floor music.

From the era of analogue to the digital, DJ Low has been in the Kuala Lumpur scene, exploring electronica since the early 1990s. Back then, he was pretty much into funk, soul, hip-hop, acid jazz, chill out stuff, then picking up drum’n’bass in its infant days being introduced into the scene in the mid late 1990s. While keeping mostly to non-mainstream vibes, he’s had fun at the World DMC Championships in 2000, he’s played some gigs abroad in Europe and Asia over the years, judged, organised DJ competitions locally, founded Loops Collective and Bionics DJ Academy. He founded Loops Collective by starting to jam in the studio with only 15 punters in 1999 before stepping into the local clubs and bars, starting their debut drum’n’bass party that featured Konkrete Jungle NYC in 2001. Loops Collective continued its journey to Movement KL, the Backroom KL, Nouvo, Emporium and Vertigo, amongst other, hosting significant bass driven nights like Liquid Jump Up, DNB XTRA and of course SuperDuperLiquid, all of which he still co-runs today together with the rest of the collective, that includes the likes of himself, Loops stalwarts Ken DMA, Mac, Emisz, Nesh MC plus newer Loopers like Yikzz and Biscuit. Low also heads Take Off Records, Chemistry Recordings, and dabbles in house music as part of the Low & MamaDayo project, and co-running the long running House of Chemistry nights.
