Taboo at Elysium 1st Anniversary with Ken DMA and Blastique & Lish 1 June 2018

Art Xtreme Media’s Taboo nights hits its 19th edition and its First Anniversary Friday 1 June 2018 up in the Box on Lvl 32 at Elysium Bar & Terrace with resident Ken DMA, together with Blastique & Lish.

Taboo is a party that aims at your most intense music desires as it looks to showcase non mainstream music genres that only you enjoy, maybe listening to it on a quiet Sunday afternoon or when you want to fill your soul with energy that only you know how to fill.

The music direction of this night will be experimental and focused on house music of all sorts including jacking, leftfield, classic, progressive, acid and more, as well as crossing genres to the likes drum’n’bass, breakbeat, UK garage, bass, dub and reggae.

KL-based Englishman Ken Dma brings with him a wealth of experience entertaining dancefloors across Europe and Asia. Having cut his teeth in the UK drum’n’bass scene, DJing, promoting, label managing and producing, Ken has expanded beyond a singular music taste and is now known for his eclectic range of music selection. Think drum’n’bass, jungle and breakbeat to bassline house, UK garage, jackin’ house and funk & soul, and energetic DJ performances.

Currently holding residencies at Elysium’s Taboo nights and with KL’s premier drum’n’bass nights with Loops Collective, Ken has acquired a reputation for versatility and can be heard around the city delivering high octane dance floor music.

Blastique is widely credited as a sonic surgeon of sorts and has rapidly become one of Malaysia’s pioneer dance music exports.

Blastique was also selected as one of the judges for Astro’s Spinmaster DJ Competition. Blastique performs live with his integrated arsenal of MIDI gear, wireless technology & Ableton.

After just 4 lessons and receiving excellent feedback from the judges of Heineken Found@Thirst 2010 for her unique and diverse selection of house music, Lish has since taken it up a notch and much more. From turning heads during her debut “Pop My Cherry” gig at Laundry Bar, she has continued to grow from strength to strength, performing quality sets at Sixty9ine Mansion (Penang), Heli Lounge Bar, View Rooftop Bar, Marini's on 57, The Velvet Lounge (Perth), as well as at high-profile launches such as the Chivas 18 Christian Lacroix unveiling @ Imagerom and the launch of AeroSystem One by LALIQUE and Jean Michel Jarre.

As a former writer, she has been exposed to all facets of the entertainment industry. Combined with her eclectic taste in nu disco, jackin’, funky, electro and progressive house, and being surrounded by active players in the music scene, it's no wonder that this is where she is headed.
