Tales of the Terrace at Le Noir KL ft Kuma and J-Sun 29 June 2018

Tales of the Terrace at Le Noir makes a return after a short hiatus, featuring on 29 June 2018, J-Sun and Kuma playing you house music and eclectic stuff.

Kuma is one of the few established DJs from Malaysia who plays across Asia and Europe. With those signature underground techno and techno based sounds, he's earned himself something of a name in the Asian underground house music community, taking the music to dance floors across Asia,

including the likes of Embassy (Philippines), Sound Club (Thailand), Womb (Tokyo), and festivals such as the Full Moon party on the beach of Haadrin in Koh Pangan (Thailand), Epizode (Vietnam), regular Jungle Experience (Koh Phangan) appearances to add to appearances in Singapore, Macao, Yangon, Berlin, Paris, Corsica, Amsterdam, Ibiza and many more..

At home in Malaysia he’s cut a swathe through the underground since the late 1990s, from Genting Highlands to Sunway Lagoon to Jalan P. Ramlee’s Poppy Collection and Rumjungle over much of the noughties, to being co-founder along with Alex Martin of the decade crossing KL underground institution Quinte on Heritage Row during the first half of this decade, to now being resident at Le Noir KL and the Sunday Daydream Pool Party, regular appearances at The Sweatbox, Ren @ Kyo KL, Bar Zhen and more.

Also dabbling into techno productions, his two releases in the last year, Kamagra and the Acid Flux EP created waves, and with new regular radio show appearances on Frisky Radio and Ibiza Radio 1, plus a couple of EPs being finalised, there’s much more to come in the very near future.

As amateur/freelance musician, entertainment journalist and DJ, Jason Cheah aka J-Sun has been on the fringes and in the thick of the scene for 30 years, traversing the music genres as well as the local circuit. As DJ J-Sun, he's scoured the KL scene for well over the past decade and a half.

He co-founded and co-promoted as co-resident, the highly successful monthly Lazygod series of house music parties in Bangsar and Desa Sri Hartamas in 2003 and 2004, and along the years played clubs and bar lounges the likes of Atmosphere, The Backroom, de Lawi @ Bangsar, Tube, Bar Amber, Liquid, Frangipani, Luna Bar, The Loft @ Zouk, 789, Afterhour, Bar Club, Bedroom, Pisco Bar, Never Mine, Mr Brooks, Nagaba KL, Calavera, Le Noir KL, Jiro KL and made appearances at Play For Passion, Genting Highlands, the Penang Island Jazz Festival, Malacca, Koh Phangan.

In the clubbing arena, J-Sun can trace his experiences back to partying during the glory days of the 1980s, having spent eight years studying in England from 1978 to 1986 where he began dabbling in the DJing arts playing pop and disco parties in Birmingham. Since those heady new waves and new romantic days, J-Sun has continued to refine his reputation as a provider of jazzy, groovy, deep, soulful, funky and Latin house grooves, with a dash of tech and progressive house beats, Currently, he can be found sharing the music with the Daydream Pool Parties and various appearances in KL.
