Le Noir KL welcomes back 'Tales of the Terrace' on their roof this coming Friday 12 October with house music supplied by DJs Circuitbreaker & Kuma
Circuitbreaker: Circuitbreaker started his passion for music in the late 80s with a love of early electro, then moving through genres such as acid house, techno, breakbeat and deep house. With a music collection that literally spans decades, his sets truly demonstrate the often clichéd ‘journey’, playing the latest rockin’ tunes, hypnotising bass lines, undiscovered gems and some pure grin inducing hands in the air classics.
Having played many clubs in the early nineties, under many different guises, he took a step back from the live scene, all the while continuing to provide a new mix every few months for those in the know. In the last couple of years, Circuitbreaker has stepped out of the shadow once more and taken to the decks, based here in KL for the most part. Watch out for some new releases coming soon from him
Kuma: Kuma is one of the few established DJs from Malaysia who plays across Asia and Europe. With his signature underground techno and techno based sounds, he's earned himself something of a name in the Asian underground house music community, taking the music to dance floors across Asia, including the likes of Embassy (Philippines), Sound Club (Thailand), Womb (Tokyo), and festivals such as the Full Moon party on the beach of Haadrin in Koh Pangan (Thailand), Epizode (Vietnam), regular Jungle Experience (Koh Phangan) appearances to add to appearances in Singapore, Macao, Yangon, Berlin, Paris, Corsica, Amsterdam, Ibiza and many more.
At home in Malaysia he’s cut a swathe through the underground since the late 1990s, from Genting Highlands to Sunway Lagoon to Jalan P. Ramlee’s Poppy Collection and Rumjungle over much of the noughties, to being co-founder along with Alex Martin of the decade crossing KL underground institution Quinte on Heritage Row during the first half of this decade, to now being resident at Le Noir KL and the Sunday Daydream Pool Party, regular appearances at The Sweatbox, Ren @ Kyo KL, Bar Zhen and more.
Also dabbling into techno productions, his two releases in the last year, Kamagra and the Acid Flux EP created waves, and with new regular radio show appearances on Frisky Radio and Ibiza Radio 1, plus a couple of EPs finalised, including his new release Saigon Express, just released on Baroque records imprint Dlimited records, there’s much more to come in the very near future.
