Darren Mac: Whether performing in clubs or producing music as a label partner for the highly successful LS City Records, Darren’s obsession with dance music has never been deeper.
Playing his distinct style of deep tech house and big room tribal beats, Darren brings with him a wealth of musical knowledge and experience. Originating from London, Darren’s musical journey started in the early 90s performing at many of the underground clubs and warehouse parties across the city. Not just satisfied with DJing, Darren has been involved in producing and remixing music for many high profile artists and record labels as well as promoting many of his own events. He was also a member of the award winning Club Jam which was instrumental in breaking the London underground garage scene which took over the UK’s capital in the late 90s
Prior to relocating to Asia, Darren held residencies at many of the UK’s premier clubs including Club UK, Cabello, The Complex, The Aquarium and Gass Club. Also touring with God’s Kitchen, Miss Moneypenny’s and Ministry of Sound and performing alongside Paul Oakenfold, Carl Cox, Sasha and John Digweed at the Tribal Gathering festival.
In recent years, Darren has been a major influence in Bangkok and was instrumental in helping to build the city’s underground music scene into what it is today. Holding down residencies at legendary clubs including Q Bar, The Tunnel, Mystique and 808, and was involved in launching and promoting the infamous Twisted Republic, and since mid 2016, Le Noir KL itself, where he is one of the co-founding residents.
Radio Rental is a London born DJ/Producer with a wealth of experience and many years undertaken in the game. With a decade producing and 15 years spinning in the clubs, he is a man that has carefully fine-tuned his skills to a place now where he is fully confident in whatever aspect of the industry he turns to.
After starting out in the outskirts of East London as a young 11-year-old boy, he scrimped and saved for whatever he could find in the record shops that took his fancy, in particular, the jungle and hardcore genre. This enthusiasm to learn and study electronic music as a whole is something that has stayed with him for the last 20 years, and is a reason why his knowledge for various dance music styles is unfathomable to many. From garage to house, jungle rhythms and techno bombs, this artist likes to explore it all and has even adopted a keen ear for classical sounds more recently.
His own sound is a nod back to yesteryear with bold and brassy house grooves paired with catchy samples, hooks aplenty, and a punchy bassline that is always infectious in its roots. He’s currently signed to such impressive labels as Zulu Records (My Digital Enemy), Subterraneo Records (Dolly Rockers), Malfunktion Deep and a future release on Pukka Up.
Under his previous alias Type 1, he had highly respected residencies at such landmark London clubs as The End, The Cross, The Fridge, Fire and The Mass. He’s also guested at other major London clubs including Brixton Academy, Ministry Of Sound, Cable, SE One, The Egg, Pacha, 54, and Coronet. He has also toured Ibiza numerous times and had very well received gigs at superclubs Eden & Es Paradis, as well aswarm up shows at Café Del Mar & Mambo’s.
In the last 12 months alone he has been on direct warm up duties for the likes of Mark Knight, Dennis Ferrer, Mendo, Sebastien Leger, Prok & Fitch, My Digital Enemy and Mr.C. Recent praise from such respected DJ peers as Mark Knight, Stacey Pullen, Brandon Block and even Laurent Garnier speaks for itself, so be sure to join the fanfare.
