A special double bill this weekend by Passion for Arts at Kinda Blue Jazz Club & Restaurant this Saturday 8 October features local retro and progressive rock groups Cats In Love and The Stalemate Factor.
Stalemate Factor, founded by journalist, musician, songwriter, composer, and author Martin Vengadesan, is a psychedelic rock band that draws its inspiration from the surreal and trippy music of the 1960s. And since their live album launch mini tour appearance mid year they're swiftly back on the live trail this weekend. The line-up performing will be Martin Vengadesan (lead vocals/keyboards), Thomas Toh (guitars), Joanne TImbuong (vocals), Harrie Sahrm (bass) and Rudolf Frank (drums).
If it's rock n' roll, then Cats In Love knows a thing or two about it. The band, having cut its teeth on the roots music of the past century, aspires to take its brand of no-frills music out to a willing audience. The band's current lineup sees Jaime on bass, Rashaad on drums and Lohan on guitar and vocals. The band is sometimes augmented by Wong on keyboards. They too make their first appearance since mid year.
All set then for two 45 minute sets with The Stalemate Factor and Cats In Love? Doors open this Saturday 7pm. RM50. Best make your reservation today by WhatsApp +6012-571 7759 or book via www.cloudtix.co/org/kindablue.
