Viu Malaysia's video streaming service is celebrating Malaysia's 66th Independence Day with the Viu Lokal Lah! Supporting the country's art industry through the broadcasting of local content and the publication of Viu Original.
Throughout the month of August, Viu has shown various local dramas and movies, including the latest Viu Original drama, which has received various recognitions at various levels. Among the dramas shown are I Love You, Stupid, Nenek Bongkok Tiga, Hilang, She Was Pretty (Malaysia), Keluarga Baha Don Season 1-3, Black and among the films shown are Pekik, Roh, Mukhsin and many more.
Drawing its curtain with a culminating event on Merdeka Day 31 August 2023 at the LaLaport BBCC, Kuala Lumpur, from 4pm to 10pm. Viu Lokal Lah ! The Live Showcase presented by Vivo Y78 5G will be further enlivened with performances from popular local singers including Bunkface, Saixse, Kidd Santhe, Radhi OAG & Budak Scene All-Stars, MK K-Clique, Aisha Retno and Fimie Don.
The Showcase also features a line-up of Viu actors such as Hun Haqeem, Daiyan Trisha, Mierul Aiman, Tony Eusoff, Siti Khadijah Halim, Sophia Albarakbah, Ikmal Amry and many more.
Activities are provided starting at 4 pm with visiting stalls from local vendors Hausboom and Empire Kuku Besi and having a chance to win various exclusive prizes and a meet & greet session with Viu actors.
