Soul Evolution featuring Dasha Logan Trio

Malaysian singer Dasha Logan needs no introduction. Daughter of legendary Alleycats singer, Arumugam Loganathan, Dasha topped the UK Soul Chart with her first single Cleverly in 2014, and the following year received the Malaysian Book of Records award for being the first Malaysian to have a number one song on an international music chart.

She was invited to perform at the closing ceremony of the SEA games 2017 and received the award of Malaysian Music Icon that same year. Dasha performed at Borneo Jazz Festival for 2 years running in 2018 & 2019. Other festival appearances include Penang Island Jazz Festival, Jarasum Jazz Festival in Korea, and Rock n Roots Festival in Singapore.

Malaysian drummer John Thomas is one of the most in-demand musicians regionally, playing at arenas such as Royal Albert Hall and Wembley Stadium to Blue Note Tokyo. Now, at age 34, he has cemented his place as one of the top drummers in the Asian region & the first call drummer in the scene over a wide variety of genres, having gone on 5 World Tours performing with a diverse host of acclaimed artists such as Laura Fygi, Nestor Torres (Latin Grammy Award Flutist), The Three Degrees (Motown Legends) amongst others.

Malaysian contemporary pianist and keyboardist Ee Jeng Hin cites jazz pianists Oscar Peterson, Keith Jarrett and Michel Camilo as the important main influences on his music. One hears the dexterity in his bebop playing; the sweet melodic ideas in his improvisation and the rhythmic and percussive Latin playing. His other musical idols include Robert Glasper and Roy Hargrove, where Neo-soul fuses with Jazz & Hip-Hop. Ee Jeng released his first debut trio album, Dawn at Highway in 2020.
