The W Kuala Lumpur and LOL Asia will create a unique collaboration for the upcoming WE ARE LIVE x W SESSIONS, a spin-off of the brand’s Living Room Live sessions. The ‘tiny desk concert’ style performance will see musical talents of Saint Kylo, SonaOne and Kyoto Protocol, where each artist will showcase their original compositions.
Every W hotel comes to life with the sound of the destination and the W experience, whether live jams at the Woobar or pumping bold beats at WET Deck. As both brands carry music as their passion point, it made sense for the partnership to bring what’s new/next to the music scene.

KYOTO PROTOCOL
Not to be mistaken for members of Greenpeace, Kyoto Protocol are a five-piece outfit based in Malaysia who kick-started a renaissance in the Malaysian music scene. Since their humble beginnings playing covers in local bars, the band got heads turning and ears listening when they opened for MGMT in their maiden concert on Malaysian soil, subsequently clinching spots at various music festivals, sharing the stage alongside many more international acts.

SAINT KYLO
It’s impossible to not know who Kyren Thomas is by now, having founded and led the local funk band, Ryot Jones. The former frontman of the 9-piece band has since taken the step to branch out on his own solo journey.
The multifaceted musician, who now goes by Saint Kylo, is venturing further into soul, funk, hip-hop and R&B, having seen his musical spectrum and portfolio grow within Malaysia over the last few years.

SONAONE
SonaOne, an award-winning rapper, songwriter and music producer of the French- Malay parentage. His music career highlights several award winning releases with 'No More', garnering 3 million views on YouTube, 'Hakeleh' with 3.4 million, and 'Firefly' with 2.6 million. He had also been actively producing music during the pandemic with a list of tracks in his album 'The Loccdown' and his most recent single titled ‘Kuey Teow’ ft. Kidd Santhe.
As a producer, SonaOne's recent work in 2020 was PrettyGirlBop for Sya, a Malaysian female rapper, Virus for ASYRFNSIR and Waktu Tiba for A. Nayaka, an Indonesian rapper.
