Wet Sessions at W Kuala Lumpur returns this weekend with guest DJEFF

Dive into the electrifying beats of WET SESSIONS, as DJEFF takes the stage on 8 July, at W Kuala Lumpur. Immerse yourself in an unforgettable party, where music creates an unparalleled sensory experience.

Born in Lisbon, this is also where his heritage converged, with his mother being originally from Angola and his dad from Cape Verde. DJEFF delivers us a modern African rooted sound that fuses forward thinking electronic music with the rich past of house music.

Back in 1999, he attended the matinees at a historical club in Lisbon - Bauhaus. While his friends spent most of their time dancing, DJEFF was focused on observing the DJs performing their craft. A spark was lit in him, which then propelled a whole new journey.

After graduating in Design & Graphic Design back in 2008, DJEFF decided to move to Angola (Luanda). It's there that he started working on music production, influenced by the surrounding ambience.

After his first singles and remixes, his debut album “Malembe Malembe” came out in 2011, co-produced with Dj Silyvi. This album was released on Kazukuta Records - his own label – which was the first electronic focused record label coming out of Angola.

His debut album was followed by “Soldier Assention“ (2013) “Gratitude” (2017) and "Enlightend Path“ (2020).

The enthusiasm he spreads on the decks, his passion for music and his great skills quickly gained attention and brought him to shows all over the globe with highlights like Untold Festival, Suncébeat, Watergate, Rex and Djoon Paris, Fabric London and tours in South Africa, Mexico, US, next to big headline shows in Portugal and Angola of course.

Also featuring for the night, our very own RIMKA and Roshan fill the warm up vibes.

Admission: RM50 (early bird), RM75 (general), RM100 (at the door).
