Prakash Daniel (Host)
Prakash Daniel is a jolly stand-up comedian who has made stellar appearances in Crackhouse Comedy Club KL and TimeOut KL Comedy Thursday. He has also hosted or opened acts for international comedians, namely Paul Ogata, Tom Rhodes and Butch Bradley. Locally, he has collaborated in shows with other Malaysian comedians, such as comedy mama Joanne Kam in which he hosted the All-Female Open Mic show.
Brian Tan (First Feature)
Starting in 2012, Brian Tan has, over the years of performing in the Malaysian comedy scene, developed a unique brand of comedy that sets him apart from most acts. Branded as a one-liner comedian, Brian’s stand-up comedy covers a wide range of topics and engages his audience using a combination of intelligence and self-deprecation. Brian has opened for internationally acclaimed comedian Paul Ogata.
Shamaine Othman (Second Feature)
In 2011, she dove into the world of stand-up comedy performing at Time Out KL’s Comedy Thursdays and since then performs regularly in the Kuala Lumpur and Singapore comedy circuit. Some notable shows and festivals that she has performed in include Super Kam (1, 2,3 and Ultra), LOL Fest (KL), KL International Comedy Festival and Singapore Comedy Fringe Festival.
Rizal van Geyzel (Headliner)
Rizal has a strong presence in Malaysia's thriving stand-up comedy scene and is well known as the co-founder of Crackhouse Comedy Club and One Mic Stand. He has performed internationally in over eight countries and regularly performs in intimate club gigs as well as concert venues in front of thousands of people.
Crackhouse Comedy Club
Crackhouse is Malaysia’s first dedicated comedy club showcasing the best of local, regional and international comics with four shows a week. The club has hosted international names such as Paul Ogata, Tamer Kattan and Tom Rhodes as well as established Malaysian comics such as Harith Iskander and Douglas Lim. The club opened in 2014 and is founded by Rizal van Geyzel and Shankar Santhiram. Crackhouse is sought after by regulars and first timers as the go-to for edgy, unpretentious, and hilarious acts, both local and international.
