Fateful Fourth

Venezuelan tenor Carlos Silva and rising Venezuelan conductor Joshua dos Santos present a glittering night of arias made famous by Luciano Pavarotti. Amongst the arias are Verdi’s catchy La donna è mobile, Bernstein’s evergreen Maria, Curtis’ popular Torna a Surriento (Come Back to Sorrento) and Puccini’s dramatic Nessun Dorma. The concert moves from song to fate with Tchaikovsky’s dramatic Fourth Symphony, which begins in a brooding mood but ends in utter jubilation.
