Kelab Malam Bijan

Celebrating "Hari Merdeka" this year will not only be about gaining independence from the British colonial rule in 1957. For many Malaysians, this 61st Merdeka celebrates change and hope for a better, brighter and new Malaysia!

To celebrate the new, we have to appreciate the past. This is why at Bijan we will be hosting a "Kelab Malam Bijan" party, an evening reminiscent of the golden era of the sixties showcasing some of our local talents in the arts, music and fashion industry. It will be a fun night of music, dancing, fashion and food. We will have a live band accompanying the night with classic Malay songs to modern renditions of the classics, "joget” or “ronggeng" with cabaret girls and of course, delicious Malay food with accompanying wines.

Chef Syawal has created a menu that showcases our heritage of unique, rich and colourful flavours, traversing the different decades. From the colonial influences of the 50s to classic home-cooked favourites through the decades to modern and original dishes now. 

We will also be featuring an up and coming Malaysian artist and a fashion designer during the night. Dress up in fashion from your favourite era and join us on this fun night to celebrate our new Malaysia! 
A portion of proceeds will be donated to Tabung Harapan.
