starRo, the name inspired by "straight arrow" which is the meaning of his first name Shinya in Japanese. He has always pushed his unique blend of Jazz, R&B, Soul, Hip-Hop & Electronic.

He has developed himself from SoundCloud remixes to releasing his critically acclaimed debut album "MONDAY" in 2016. "MONDAY" hit number one on the Japanese charts which was only the beginning of his success. That same year, he lead a month long series-special on Apple Music’s Beats1 international radio station. A fairly unknown remix for The Silver Lake Chorus has lead to his Grammy nomination in "The Best Remix Recording" in 2017, a global recognition of his talent.
