What do Kendrick Lamar and Chance The Rapper have in common?

They’ve both been blessed by the stellar production work of the Los Angeles artist that we know as Nosaj Thing. Having been inspired by the various sounds since he was a kid listening to the radio on the school bus, Nosaj Thing has dabbled across many genres - drum’n’bass, electronica, experimental, house, and hip hop.

Like many of his other fellow Los Angeles luminaries such as TOKiMONSTA, Flying Lotus, Daedelus, Nosaj Thing built a solid rapport with other like-minded artists back at the legendary Low End Theory in its heyday - this legendary night has seen the likes of Prince, Idris Elba, and Tyler The Creator be frequent guests of.

His 2006 self-released EP Views/Octopus saw its standout track “Aquarium” receive on the Kid Cudi track “Man On The Moon (The Anthem)” by way of sampling. He’s also achieved the feat of having artists such as Toro y Moi feature on his albums and has made highly-notable remixes for artists such as Radiohead and BADBADNOTGOOD.

YETI OUT was founded by twin brothers Arthur and Thomas Bray and Erisen Ali as a blog-turned-party series in East London. In a time when social media has made us less social, Yeti Out highlights the importance of dance parties and offline events as a place where creativity is born.

With London's club culture as the crew's schooling, the trio moved home to Asia to challenge the status quo put in place by financial capitals: lack of space and support for the arts & underground music.

Bridging East and West through their hybrid identity, Hong Kong-via-Shanghai collective carved its own lane by pushing independent culture through DIY projects: club nights, radio shows and record releases. Whether it's managing tours for the likes of ASAP Mob's Cozy Boys and Harvey Sutherland, or showcasing at Sonar, Coachella and Art Basel's 8Ball Zine Fair (and now overseeing Boiler Room Asia), Yeti Out continues to create new experiences as a transient party starter.
