This Saturday, May 26th ,Otherkind's 10th edition of The Sweatbox -“How Deep?" is about digging deep into record bags and deliver some absolute musical gems.
Joining Otherkind is Obadius and the Portugal-hailing DJ/Producer Miguel Matoz. His 2 decades long career has rendered over 100 house and techno productions, residencies from El Divino to Amnesia-some of world's biggest clubs and collaborations with major record labels from Pena's "Flow Vinyl" to Mendo's "Clarisse Records.
His focus now is on his own imprint- "Souled Records" based in Thailand where he is also currently residing and also his own Souled Lab, studio focus on creating and growing some powerful and quality music of the electronic spectrum as well as supporting the regional artists through a well appointed space where they can hone and perfect their music and production skills.
As everything Miguel touches turns into gold, we expect the same thing about Saturday night. As The Sweatbox will be a golden night, bring your dancing shoes and let's party on!

MIGUEL MATOZ (SOULED OUT, PORTUGAL)

Over 20 years into his career, Miguel Matoz continues to embody the heart and soul of house and techno music.

With one artist album and more than 100 originals under his belt, Miguel has perfected the balance of old school and contemporary sounds in his production work. With a studio overflowing with analog/digital gear and almost one decade of production.

His current attentions are primary devoted to Souled Records and Souled Black Recordings, the two labels he runs out of his adopted home Island of Koh Phangan. In the 7 years since Souled began it has been one of the sources of Miguel’s material, while also providing a home for emerging talents.
Meanwhile its techno brother label Souled Black recordings has made an instant impact since its launch in 2013 debuting with a new EP from Miguel’s born Instead alias.

Been a Mendo’s Clarisse Records artist, Miguel has performed for the Clarisse Nights in Sankeys Ibiza, Sonar Barcelona, Carpe Diem Croatia and worldwide in places like Dc-10, Amnesia, Queens Bora Bora, El Divino and Café del Mar in Ibiza where he was resident for 5 years, Kremlin Lisbon, Fabrik Madrid, Clash Sao Paulo, Jungle Experience in Koh Phangan, Cha Cha Moon in Koh Samui, Blanchy’s Tash in Saigon, Baby Boa and Silencio in Geneva, Blue Frog in Mumbay, etc
He has Played with artists like Luciano, Mendo, Monica Kruse, Re.You, Behrouz, Mirko Loko, Miguel Bastida, Vidaloca, Ron Costa, Audiojack, Andrea Oliva, Marco Bailey, Technasia , Matthias Meyer, Gui Boratto, Loked Groove, Renato Cohen, Sidney Charles, David Herrero, Philip Bader, Nakadia, etc

In addition to his own labels, Miguel still regularly contributes to some of the scene’s biggest labels, with recent appearances on Horatio’s Natural Rhythm, Ethnik Groove, Pena’s Flow Vinyl, Baroque, Alkalino’s Audaz, Mendo’s Clarisse Records.
