Annalakshmi was established in 1984. From a shoplot in Jalan Maarof, Bangsar Baru Kuala Lumpur.Swamiji, as we affectionately call him, created Annalakshmi as a restaurant that would bring together the culinary skills of mothers and grandmothers in the group who have been feeding their loved ones with care and dedication. And drawing from the heritage of this very special skill of creating delightful nourishment out of the freshest ingredients, Swamiji empowered these housewives to serve the larger family of the community through their homely skills honed by tradition and constant practice.
Annalakshmi is now situated within our new 5-storey Temple of Fine Arts at 114-116 Jalan Berhala, Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur. Our sanctuary of the arts is located right in the centre of the crescent shaped Jalan Berhala on the banks of the Klang River. It faces the 100 year old Buddhist MahaVihara and is one shrine of many in the area.Annalakshmi Restaurant is on the ground floor of the Temple of Fine Arts.
Opening hours: Open 6 Days a Week. Lunch: 11.30am - 3.00pm, Dinner: 6.30pm - 10.00pm. Closed on Monday.
