Marking the occasion of a new year with a new vibe, diners can experience family and corporate celebrations for the upcoming Chinese New Year with the `Celebrate The Dragon’ menu hand-crafted and curated for festivities at Asia’s only KRUG CHEF’S TABLE. The luxurious 12 course menu priced at RM888++ per guest offers two complimentary

bottles of the Krug Grand Cuvee upon reservations of 10 guests or more.

Chef James Won presents two new menus in keeping with the Year of the Dragon. KAIDA (Little Dragon) offers an eight premium course priced at RM388++ per person. Available for Lunch and Dinner. KINRYU (Golden Dragon) is a true journey of the connoisseur traversing through the
heritage of Japan with the finest ingredients sourced in Malaysia and presented with the restaurant’s now legendary savoir faire. Priced at RM688++ per person, the menu offers 13 luxury courses. Available for Dinner. Both menu experiences are hosted at SHIN’KAPPOU.

The KLCC hotel's Chinese restaurant Tao offers a Lunar New Year Collection that will have you lou hei-ing loudly. The range of Enchanting Legend sets comes with a variety of Yee Sang options, all delivered with flair and tradition in the beauty of the main restaurant or one of six private dining rooms. 

Six is the magic number, as six different set menus are available: Legendary, Ethereal, Majestic, Renewal, Radiance and Mystic. 

Ethereal Set - RM2888+ (Per table of 10 people)

Expect Yee Sang with soft-shell crab and crispy salmon skin sumptuous broth of braised crab meat, Abalone and dried scallops continued the fishy theme, along with the steamed dragon grouper with black fungus, shimeiji mushrooms and fish sauce or the undisputed champion of roasted chicken and "London Duck" with a choice of plum or mandarin sauce.

Legendary Set - RM 3688+ (Per table of 10 people)

The most luxurious of the menus is the Legendary set, and it is truly a feast fit for a family. The obligatory Yee Sang comes with Abalone, snow crab sticks and baby octopus, giving seafood lovers the perfect appetiser. Following on is a double-boiled chicken soup flavoured with dendrobium orchid, matsutake mushrooms and fish maw.

Renewal Set - Vegetarian RM 1888+ (Per table of 10 people) 

For those who prefer a plant-based celebration, Tao has a set to tantalise the taste buds. The set comes with a dragon fruit-based Yee Sang, with star jelly and chia seeds, meaning the vegetarians in your group get to toss and shout as much as anyone else at a CNY dinner.

Chinese New Year celebrations at EQ Kuala Lumpur for 2024 has become a tradition at EQ Kuala Lumpur, the lunar new year is the time of revival for the Golden Phoenix, once the city’s most famed Chinese restaurant. 8. Youmiqi Cusine, Jalan Klang Lama

Rather than the usual Cantonese, Hakka or Hokkien style of cuisine, you’ll be served dishes from the Shen De province of China. For 2024 they have several CNY sets from RM 888+ onwards, and their healthy Yee Sang will come as part of the set.

This healthy Yee Sang is made from hand sliced fresh vegetables like purple cabbages, carrots, cucumbers and radish, with a generous amount of fresh raw Salmon.

9. Golden Valley, TTDI (Halal)

Golden Valley is one Chinese restaurant that’s suitable for company CNY dinners where colleagues come from different faiths. They’re offering the Happiness, Fortune and Auspicious sets that can be ordered for a 5 pax table or 10 pax table for 2024.

Prices start at RM588 for the 5 pax sets and RM988 for a 10 pax set. Items on the set menu include a Yam Basket with Kung Po chicken, Tiger prawns with Chef’s Special Sauce and steamed Grouper with superior soy sauce and include free flow Chinese tea, Barley or Pandan Lemongrass.

11. Mohd Chan Restaurant (Halal)

Mohd Chan serves halal Cantonese and Malay fusion cuisine, which is something different from the usual CNY fare. For 2024 they have prepared several CNY sets, but not all are available at all outlets. You must check their website for the full details.

The sets that are available at all outlets are priced from RM148 for 3-4 persons, with dishes like Crab Meat soup with shredded abalone, Siakap Tiga Rasa, Classic Butter Prawns and Sambal Kapitan Sotong as part of the mix.
