EDC China PreParty ft Crankdat Zouk KL 27 April 2018

The Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) China Festival Official Pre Party stars at Zouk KL this Friday 27th April with headliner Crankdat plus Zouk residents BATE and Radz

20-year-old Ohio, US, native Christian Smith, more commonly known as Crankdat, first broke out onto the dance music scene in 2015 with his viral remix of Fetty Wap's "Trap Queen" which has accrued 120+ million total streams to date. At the tip of 2016, he released his massive "Game Over" collaboration with trap heavyweight Lookas, which swiftly went on to receive immense support from The Chainsmokers, Tiesto, Excision and many others.

Over the summer, the young gun toured in Australia and the United States, all while releasing his signature "re-cranks" that have followed suit with the viral nature of his releases. The ever-growing demand for Crankdat is at an all-time high as the promising act leads 2017 with an extensive repertoire of original music, remixes and a handful of surprises soon to be revealed.
Also featuring for the night are Zouk residents BATE and Radz.

Ethan Curzon and Yeoh Wai Hong make up BATE – a DJ duo who are no strangers in Kuala Lumpur’s nightlife circuit. Bringing a different kind of energy to each and every set they play, a bring-the-house- down mantra drives their approach to dance music, and have just released their debt single “One I Love”.

RADZ brings the transcendent and dynamic syncopated rhythms of Funk, the latest sounds of electronic music, and modern Hip-Hop in the form of direct sampling from funk riffs on the plate. His childhood training as a drummer provided him a strong music foundation.
