MAY 31-JUNE 1: Crackhouse Comedy Club presents Phoon Chi Ho
Phoon Chi Ho has built himself a reputation as one of the country’s top comedy performers, putting him in high demand for his ability to bring audiences to fits of laughter. One of the pioneers of Kuala Lumpur’s comedy scene, he is best known for being part of the Malaysian Association of Chinese Comedians, and has shared the stage with comedy greats like Dara O’ Briain, Ed Byrne, Harith Iskander and Afdlin Shauki, just to name a few. He has appeared on Comedy Central Asia’s Stand Up, Asia!, Astro Warna’s Komediri (2 seasons) and more recently, Astro’s Sedapnya Mulut! On the silver screen, he begged a supporting role, playing a ghost hunter, on Mamat Khalid’s Lari Hantu Lari!

All the way from Dublin, Ireland.. it’s Danny O’Brien at The Joke Factory! Danny has been performing stand-up comedy for the best part of a decade, headlining regularly at top comedy clubs and festivals to worldwide audiences. As the resident host and owner of The Comedy Crunch in Dublin one of Ireland’s most successful comedy clubs – his friendly, high energy and anecdotal style draws in an audience and brings on the big laughs with ease. Following in the footsteps of Simon Pegg, Dylan Moran and Dara Ó Briain –
Danny was handpicked in 2016 to perform as part of the iconic “Best of The Edinburgh Fest” Show across Australia touring Perth World Fringe, Adelaide Fringe Festival and The Melbourne International Comedy Festival and returned again in 2018. After a sell out month long run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe last year and a tour of South East Asia, Danny followed these with a national and international tour with over thirty dates in six countries with his hugely successful ‘RaconTour’. O’ Brien’s new show ‘Lock-In’ will see him performing in several prisons across Ireland and the UK in the coming months and will debut at The Edinburgh Fringe this August.
