DECEMBER 14: Aina Abdul : A Night of Divas at NBT
Aina Abdul is no stranger to the Malaysian music scene. Fondly known as Aina Mentor, the title derived from the national prime reality television singing competition MENTOR which she was selected to participate in 2014. She came into the limelight after becoming the first runner-up of the show under the apprenticeship of Malaysia’s Queen of Rock, Ella.
Since then, Aina has actively been composing her own material and has started performing publicly at some of KL’s best live venues. Aina has been using the opportunity as a medium to create her own kind of music for her fans. She believes in originality and that creating her own sound would inspire listeners with her story. Modern R&B and Soul are her favourite genres and she cites Chrisette Michele, Ledisi, Yuna, Tegan and Sara as sources of inspiration.

Jan Vanek is a self-taught musician of immense talent, composer and multi-instrumentalist, and a globe-trotting jazzman. His extensive travels around the world in search of close communion with nature and the elements is a constant source of musical and spiritual inspiration. His music embrace sounds and cultures from all corners of the world.
Jan’s performances leave behind a memorable experience for those who have met him and heard his music. Each time one hears him, it is beyond all appearances, an artist of flamboyant virtuosity, always eager to communicate. Music inhabits his entire being, his intent is to serve musical expression in all its splendour and intensity. A rare musician who can take the audience beyond all boundaries.
Jan has performed all over the world, as well as in several international guitar festivals such as in Prague, Tahiti, in Jazz festivals in Nice, Cluny, Rhino Jazz, Nevers, and concert tours in Japan, China and in central Europe.
