MARCH 23/24: Crackhouse presents Rory Lowe (AUS)
Rory Lowe. This UK born, Australia raised storyteller hit the comedy scene early 2012 and by 2014 had debuted his first solo show at Perth Fringe World, selling out the season. Whilst simultaneously performing at Big Day Out Festival, MCing for Grammy nominated physc-rockers. Also recently in 2018 at the prestigious Perth Fringe World Festival, he's been selling out his new one-hour show, 'Get Rich or High Tryin' to critically acclaimed reviews from critics and audiences alike. He’s hung out with Snoop Dogg, gone viral with 3 million views on UniLad, been caught up in a bomb scare, even toured internationally through Asia and Australia. His tales of desire, destruction and debauchery are legendary. If that still isn't enough to convince you Rory has also performed with mega stars, Tame Impala, who describe him as "even funnier than he is crazy!"

MARCH 24: Lindy Hop Live ft The Ee Jeng Trio
Welcome to their second Lindy Hop Live gig of the year with the theme Blue Skies. Lindy Hop Live is a series of shows focusing on 2 things: dancing and swing jazz. The dancing bit will be facilitated by LindyKL who will be holding a Lindy taster class for absolute beginners. Lindy Hop is a dance popular during the Swing era of the late 1930s and early 1940s. A revival in the 80s has led to it being danced all over the world, you can find it in almost every major city on the globe. This is what it looks like:
The swing jazz bit will be facilitated by The Ee Jeng Trio, a mainstay in the local jazz scene and one of the few that actually have a repertoire of jazz originals. They'll be doing a strictly swing jazz set this time around though, led by the talented Ee Jeng Hin. The trio will also feature guest vocalist Reza Salleh from The Frankie Sixes.

Classical pianist Mei Lin Hii holds a Master of Music Degree and Professional Studies Diploma from the Manhattan School of Music in New York. There she studied with renowned teacher Zenon Fishbein. Prior to that, she was a student of Michael Ruiz at the American Conservatory of Music , Chicago. Mei Lin has performed in piano masterclass with world-renowned pianist-teachers such as Leon Fleisher, Byron Janis, Nina Svetlanova and the late Shura Cherkassky. As the winner of the 1995 Artists International Competition in New York, Mei Lin made her New York debut recital at Weill Hall in Carnegie Hall to a dazzled audience. With Marques Young on trombone.

MARCH 27: The Wanderess World Tour: Sevdaliza Live in KL
SEVDALIZA is the alias of Sevda Alizadeh, a singer and songwriter who makes artful left-field pop that seems to draw from Portishead, Björk, and Velvet Rope-era Janet Jackson while remaining as contemporary as FKA twigs and the downcast aspects of Little Dragon. Born in Tehran and raised in Rotterdam, Alizadeh played basketball for the Dutch national youth team and earned a master's degree in communication before she opted to explore her artistic impulses. She debuted in 2014 with "Backseat Love," a single that anchored The Suspended Kid, the first of two four-track EPs released in 2015. A handful of tracks scattered across 2016 and early 2017 led to the album Ison. Like the EPs that preceded it, the full-length was issued through Alizadeh's Twisted Elegance label.

Established in 2016, NewSound is a modern jazz ensemble based in Malaysia that is taking the local music scene by storm. The band name says it all, as their mission is to push the boundaries and limitations of jazz composition by constantly releasing and performing new and original material. Their sound is greatly influenced by modern jazz music with a touch of fusion, Latin and not forgetting the good ol’ roots of straight-ahead swing. MARCH 29: Reza Salleh at No Black Tie
One of the top names in Malaysia’s acoustic scene, Reza Salleh is a central figure in Malaysia’s thriving singer-songwriter circuit. His music is “a little bit of everything”, drawing from pop, grunge, R&B, folk and a lot of other genres he grew up listening to. Reza has played in Australia, Laos, Singapore, Thailand, Korea, Indonesia and Japan. He was the first Malaysian to be invited to play a major stage at Japan’s 19th Annual Sunset Live Festival in Fukuoka, Japan in 2011 and was invited to play the Asia Music Found showcase and the Nakasu Jazz Festival last year in the same city. In 2016 he played the Daegu Folk Festival in Daegu, Korea.
