MAY 25/26: Crackhouse presents Dana Alexander
One of Canada’s most outspoken and hilarious women is taking the comedy circuit by storm. Dana Alexander's comedic style is both refreshing and irreverent, drawing her material from her diverse lifestyle, her gay friends and her crazy Jamaican family. This is a lady not to be missed. Culture shock meets hilarity, straight up stand up from a fresh perspective. Dana talks about everything from family to sex to culture with a down-to-earth and world sensibility. Her unique ability to see the insanity on our every-day lives is what endears her to a wide variety of audiences all over the world. Original and from the gut.
Dana draws her material from raw life experience with an original and hilarious outlook. In 2011 Dana moved to the U.K. where she premiered her solo hour at The Edinburgh Festival for which she received rave reviews and nominations including "Best Comic" and "Best International Act" from Chortle and Black Comedy Awards. It was not long before she then featured on British TV on programs such as "Russell Howard's Good News", "Edinburgh Comedy Fest" and "The Culture Show". Her solo comedy special also aired in Canada's popular Stand-up show "Comedy Now" and she has been named in the Top 10 Comedians 3 years running by NOW Magazine in Canada.
Dana can be seen on stage within in the U.K. and internationally. She has performed in more than 40 countries!

Dasha Logan has been exposed to the music scene and the life of a musician before she can remember, having grown up in a musical family. Now an upcoming artist herself, she has been singing professionally for the past few years, but started her journey with music at the tender age of 4 when her love for performing began.
At 17 she was offered her first singing gig which kicked off her life on stage and it naturally only took one performance for everyone to see what an amazing talent she has.

Annabel first made her debut as a vocalist in the 2009 Kota Kinabalu Jazz Festival and has since then proven herself to be a versatile singer. Being able to sing genres from jazz to R&B to evergreen to pop to alternative, and still open to experimenting new boundaries with her voice, which was described as soothingly powerful.

Australia’s Oriental/Indo/Latin Jazz fusion guitar maestro, Peter Dickson’s exciting musical journey started in his teens, honing his skills in the jazz clubs of London, UK. Moving to Australia in 1986, his musical career has vaulted onto the world stage, with an impressive discography bridging multiple musical disciplines and genres in his eleven recorded works.
Peter’s live concert touring agenda has involved world travel and playing in concert halls in Europe, North America, Japan, Asia, and Australasia. As well as being a true guitar innovator, he is also a master concert performer, dazzling audiences with his solo shows, which combine virtuosity, emotion and humour, with a strong stage presence. Original in his approach to his music, he designs and handcrafts his own twin neck guitars to achieve his unique musical voice.
