Martin Vengedesan & The Stalemate Factor album and book launch at MERDEKARYA LIVE 6 May 2023
Psychedelic rock outfit Martin Vengadesan & The Stalemate Factor will be playing a series of live gigs this month, kicking off this weekend on 6 May 2023 at Merdekarya where Martin will also launch his new book 101 Albums You Need To Hear Before I Die and The Stalemate Factor will launch its fourth album The Rook’s Siege. The Stalemate Factor, founded by journalist, musician, songwriter, composer, and author Martin Vengadesan, is a psychedelic rock band that draws its inspiration from the surreal and trippy music of the 1960s. The line-up performing will be Martin Vengadesan (lead vocals/keyboards), Thomas Toh (guitars), Joanne TImbuong (vocals), Harrie Sahrm (bass), and Rudolf Frank (drums). Watch out for more appearances at Kinda Blue and Porkville later this month.
Opening for them at Merdekarya will be the band – Faye Faire.
Also during the week at Merdekarya, this grassroots live music bar is back to four nights a week providing you with music and performances and highly original music from homegrown artists.
