The Stalemate Factor and Faye Faire Live at Anggul Studio 18 May 2024
Psychedelic prog rock band The Stalemate Factor and indie pop outfit Faye Factor will be returning to the studio to perform just a couple of months since their last appearances there.
Stalemate Factor - Malaysian psychedelic rock band that has released four albums in the folk-rock, progressive rock and psychedelic rock genres. Founded by journalist, musician, songwriter, composer, and author Martin Vengadesan, the band draws its inspiration from the surreal and trippy music of the 1960s. With Martin Vengadesan (vocals/keyboards) are Joanne Timbuong (vocals), Thomas Toh (guitar), Harrie Sahrm (bass) and Malcolm Ambrose (drums).
Faye Faire - The KL-based indie group will be treating fans again with songs from their album In My Mind, now out all streaming platforms, plus some songs never performed live before. Faye Faire are Alena Nadia, Azim Zain, and Isra Gomez, along with newer members Tanuja Kaur and Maira Zamri. Their debut album is in large part a tribute to former band member I-Shan Esther who passed away last year. Their first single from the album Siren is shortlisted for the Anugerah Lagu Indie 2023 Top 30 Rock category and topped the Rakita 107.9 FM Lokallah charts early this year.
