Jordan Rivers sings George Benson at No Black Tie
Jordan Rivers has been a prominent figure in the Malaysian music industry since 1975. Known for his 'virtuosic' guitar and vocals, Jordan has performed alongside great artists such as Randy Crawford, Randy Bernsen, Abraham 'Abe' Laboriel, Siti Nurhaliza, Ning Baizura, Lewis Pragasam, Michael Veerapen and the Grammy nominated Dave Koz. So many times in contemporary popular music – in jazz, rock, blues, folk or beyond – the man with the guitar is the fulcrum on which all other sounds and voices hinge. He’s the core, the engine, the captain who leads and inspires the rest of the team.
George Benson has been that man for nearly a half century. In a career that spans five decades, more than 30 recordings as a leader and ten Grammy Awards, NEA Jazz Master, George Benson, has used his jazz roots as the foundation for an engaging mix of pop, R&B and other shades that add up to a style that appeals to a broad mainstream audience. Along the way, he has also established himself as a formidable jazz singer – one whose biggest career hits have showcased his vocals as well as his guitar chops. In short, this guitar man is the complete package.

Against The Current – In Our Bones World Tour Live In Malaysia at The Bee, Publika
IME Malaysia is thrilled to announce the return of American pop rock band, Against The Current, to Malaysia for their world tour. The American pop rock band was formed in the early 2011 by Dan Gow, Will Ferri, Joe Simmons and Jeremy Rompala. In the summer of 2011, Chrissy Costanza, current lead singer, then joined the band after being introduced through a mutual friend.
Beginning their music venture with a serious of YouTube covers of various hit songs, the band quickly built up an impressive following base. Their second EP, Gravity, was then released on February 17, 2015. Gravity was charted in four Billboard magazine charts and peaked on several album charts. Shortly afterwards, the band proudly announced their signing with Fueled By Ramen under Atlantic Records. The band later released their very first studio album, “In Our Bones” in May 2016 and kick started their world tour in Korea, continuing to a number of countries in Europe, North America and Asia.
With a catchiness attributed to their upbeat rhythms and Costanza’s powerful vocal presence, the band’s music truly embraces the definition of pop-rock, playing around with levels of pop-ness and rock-ness across each of their tracks.
