Influenced and hugely inspired by the likes of Jeff Buckley, Alicia Keys, Alanis Morissette and Alex Vargas; Priscillia Xavier now sings with a flair for Soul-Rock, R&B and Indie Jazz whilst dabbling in other genres that inspire her music.

Fusing in a lot of heart and her knack for music-storytelling, she's also known for her diverse song repertoires that usually come with unique re-interpretations and mash-ups. When she isn’t gigging in her home-city (Kuala Lumpur), this songbird can be seen playing shows across Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City.

Michael Pigneguy Quarter featuring Samantha de Lune at No Black Tie

 

Singer Samantha De Lune

Michael is a regular visitor to Malaysian shores and has built a rapport with a number of KLs finest musicians during club and festival performances and recordings. He returns to No Black Tie to showcase new arrangements and a brand new release of My Valentine which features Samantha de Lune. Added to this will be material from his most recent album Les Trois Scènes as well as earlier CDs. Les Trois Scènes was recorded in Dubai, Melbourne, Perth and Doha and features artists from across the globe. It draws from the musical language of jazz through to that of Afro Cuban and electronic music genres and is a completely continuous sonic journey. Key elements of the recording will be translated to the performance at No Black Tie which promises to be a unique musical journey for audience members. Not to be missed!

Malaysian pianist Tengku Irfan performs Beethoven’s regal Fifth Piano Concerto, nicknamed “The Emperor” with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO). Beethoven’s exuberant Seventh Symphony preceeds Takemitsu’s Requiem for Strings. The MPO’s Resident Conductor Naohisa Furusawa leads this brilliant Beethoven night. There will also be a world premiere performance of Malaysia composer Vivian Chua’s latest composition Mercu Kegemilangan by the orchestra.

Performances will be SAT 30 SEP 2017 8:30PM / SUN 1 OCT 2017 3:00PM.

Dream Theatre Live in Malaysia

Progressive metal band Dream Theatre makes its Malaysian debut on Oct 2 as part of the next leg of their “Images, Words & Beyond 25th Anniversary Tour,” in celebration of their break through RIAA gold-certified album, “Images & Words.” IME Asia is honoured to bring this world rock phenomenon to Malaysian fans, where they’ll be taking the stage at KL Convention Centre. The spectacle will contain an unparalleled live set of "Images & Words" in its entirety, taking fans back in time with time less numbers like "Pull Me Under", "Another Day", "Metropolis Part 1" and "Under A Glass”, along with fan favourites from their deep, widely-acclaimed catalogue.

Clinton Jerome just moved to the West from Sarawak, Borneo to pursue a career in Music. Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Mass Communication and Public Relations) from Curtin University, upon his arrival he was discovered by Lewis Pragasam and now performs regularly at La Bodega Bangsar. Clinton also performs regularly at local café’s like Whup Whup and Powerplant, etc. Clinton released 2 singles before namely “Kedua Kali” & “Demam Cinta”, both hitting the Borneo Charts in the Top 3 and Top 10 respectively. “Demam Cinta” landed itself the No. 1 spot for 4 weeks straight on the Borneo Charts. Clinton’s musical influences revolve around R&B, Jazz, Pop, Soul but he does not limit himself to those genres loving to exploring different area’s in Music. Clinton has opened and is recognised by the likes of Audi Mok (Music Producer and Composer), Faizal Tahir (Artist), Jaclyn Victor, Vince Chong and back in 2015 he met and sang for Ariana Grande herself in Tokyo, Japan for her “My Everything” Album Tour. Joining him will be Icco Elnoel (bass), Joelle Magindaan (keyboards), Marcus Leong (guitar) and Lukas Lopez (drums).
