Ranking #33 in this year's DJMAG Top 100 DJs, Timmy Trumpet is having his best year yet headlining close to every single major music festival including Tomorrowland, Creamfields and Ultra Europe and is set for Zouk KL's main room on 29 November.
Australian DJ and instrumentalist Timmy Trumpet makes dynamic, progressive house music that he often accents with his trumpet playing. Born Timothy Jude Smith in Sydney in 1982, Smith began playing trumpet at age four and initially attended the Sydney Cnoservaotirum of Music where he received classical instruction. After being thrown out for a prank, however, he transferred to a public high school where he became increasingly involved with jazz. Although Smith’s trumpet ability prediceted a performance career, it was dance music and not jazz that ultimately grabbed his interest.
Timmy Trumpet’s music style has evolved throughout his music career and is now progressing into a more in-depth scale of Electrohouse, psy-trance, hard dance, and Melbourne bounce. This talented DJ/instrumentalist has also been rather loud and outspoken about his collaborations with artists like KSHMR, Maddix, ViniVici, Dimatik and even Hardwell early this year before he announced his retirement.
The night will be supported by Zouk KL ressies Mizzkiya, Pennie, Ken Fung and Thesim.
