Zouk Genting & Resorts World bring entertainment to people’s homes during MCO

Zouk Genting & Resorts World bring entertainment to people’s homes during MCO

Nightlife and entertainment venues may be shut, but you can still get your dose of fun with Zouk Genting. The team at Zouk Genting has gone digital by curating hours of online experiences to entertain those in isolation during the Movement Control Order (MCO).

Priding ourselves as being an evolutionary lifestyle company, we have worked tirelessly to bring entertainment to our fan base worldwide through a variety of digital content, 7 days a week,” says Joseph Ryan, Director of Special Projects for Zouk. “When the MCO was announced in March, we immediately jump-started a move to curate digital content for those stuck at home, many of which were struggling with their newfound restrictions and missing the freedom to carry out activities they used to enjoy. Hence, we have developed a variety of programme aimed at bringing entertainment to all and this includes daily wellness activities, a host of interactive content with music industry experts as well as live streams from superstar DJs on a nightly basis. With Zouk Digital, there is always something for everyone and you simply cannot be bored!

UNIQUE FITNESS EXPERIENCES

At 3pm daily, Zouk’s social media accounts worldwide (Genting, Singapore and Zouk At Sea) will post wellness-based activities and workout routines across a variety of fitness disciplines, including Yoga, Pilates, HIIT and Dance, all of which fall under the ‘Zouk Live’ banner. A host of accredited trainers, including popular KL trainer Jean Liew, who was the master instructor in last year’s Zouk Live Festival in Resorts World Genting (RWG), an event that attracted 7,000 people, will provide 7 workout routines a week to keep Zouk followers active. “Our fitness activities in last year’s Zouk Live Festival proves that the entertainment and fitness worlds are interlinked. Those who love to dance to our favourite DJs can also work out to their music,” says Ryan.

INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCES WITH BIG NAME DJs

Zouk’s social media feed will also bring a variety of lifestyle activities to enjoy daily at 6 pm. Dance tutorials, cocktail masterclasses by RWG mixologist Pranill Samm, FUHU cooking classes and life hacks will be posted online in bite sized videos. For music lovers, there will be a series of interviews with international big names as well as up and coming regional stars. This is the perfect chance for fans to get to know their idols better. Zouk Genting has always curated experiences for people and this includes food, drink, music and lifestyle. If you have ever wondered how to make your favourite FUHU dish or cocktail, your own music track or even want to dance like Bruno Mars, fret not as we will teach, guide and show you all the ways with Zouk Digital.

ZOUK LIVE STREAMS – ONE MIX

For those who miss their weekend fix of soul feeding music, breathtaking visuals and party vibes, Zouk Digital has you covered. With no fewer than seven mixes a week across all genres of music, the team behind Asia’s number one nightlife brand in Asia continues to bring the biggest and best names to us, this time directly to our homes. Zouk has both live video streams on FB, IG and Youtube, as well as audio mixes on Mixcloud whereby Zouk Genting Mixcloud is trending #1 in Malaysia.

Music has always had the power to create unity and bring joy. We have worked with some of the biggest names in the industry to bring a regular stream of DJ sets, with club standard visuals and sound. Mark Sixma, Orjan Nilsen, Sander Van Doorn and Ferry Corsten may not be able to visit Malaysia during this time, but they have recorded specific mixes for our channels to stay in touch with their fan base. Our local resident Joshen has also recorded mixes in several well-known landmarks at the resort to add a wow factor to the production, some of which have been viewed and listened to by thousands,” Ryan remarks.

The international DJs were amongst the Zouk team who were in a specially crafted ‘Thank You to the First Responders’ video that was released recently as a small token of appreciation to the frontliners who have kept us safe during these difficult times.

Zouk Digital will not be ending post-MCO as there is so much more to come. The team has curated an industry leading presence in digital programming through Zouk Digital and with more lifestyle content in the pipeline, Zouk will continue online even after the venues reopen to remain connected with the Zouk Family.
