Afdlin Shauki is a man of various talents. He's an actor, director, comedian as well as a singer. Together with his band Acid Iz, Afdlin presents his own flavour of R&B, acid jazz and funk, high on energy and performance power. He was nominated in the category of Best Male Vocal Performance for his work on the IKHLAS 92 album. His debut album FUUYO! was released in the year 2003.
In 2005, he was awarded Most Promising New Director, Best Screenplay and Best Original Story at the Malaysian Film Festival for the movie Buli which he had both written and directed. In the same year, he was awarded for Best Actor, Best Director and Best Screenplay at the Anugerah Skrin Awards (Malaysian Screen Awards).
