"As Good As Water" is the second solo studio album by highly regarded, award-winning saxophonist, Minyen Hsieh. He started performing professionally at the age of 19, and studied at Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels. His strong improvisation skills and rich tone has made him a coveted player across multiple genres.
The album takes it name from the nature of music improvisation, as it undresses all superfluous definition and returns to the odyssey of sound itself. Simple and pure, like water. Guided by its name, the trio tells a story with its ever-changing interaction that breaks on the shore of rhythm and notes, that comes together with harmony.
