Clinton Chua & Pete Kallang: Tribute to Stevie Wonder

Clinton Jerome Chua is a fresh new face that is just starting out in the music scene. His genres include R&B, Pop, Soul, Jazz and he sings in both English, Bahasa Melayu and a little bit of Mandarin. He was born and raised in the city of Miri in Sarawak, Borneo and he moved to Kuala Lumpur after graduating with a Degree in Mass Communication and Public Relations from Curtin University, Malaysia. He is of Chinese (Hokkien) and Melanau descent. He started his musical journey from church and since then has performed at various conferences catering to hundreds and thousands in Borneo. He then pursued his career professionally in 2013, releasing 2 well-known singles in Borneo. His material now can mostly be found on his social media pages. His videos on Instagram have been noticed by some of Malaysia’s best including Jaclyn Victor, JinnyBoy, Hafiz (Akademi Fantasia Winner Season 7), Vince Chong (First Akademi Fantasia Winner), Nanasheme, Reshmonu and more. Clinton recently emerged as champion at the JBL Rising Star Singing Competition.

Miri-born Pete Kallang – dubbed the vocal Prince of Borneo by many of his fans – is best known for his soulful voice and joyful persona and amazing live performances. Pete’s performances bring fun and a rainbow of colour to the local music scene. Audiences appreciate his passion for music and are always emotionally engaged during his live performances as he takes them on a wondrous musical journey. Even at the most formal of functions, Pete Kallang is sure to put a big smile on your face and move you to a musical high of sorts as he delivers each and every song in his own unique way. Pete understands that music is about creating an epic journey in each song for the audience to go on while maintaining its artistic value and integrity.
