Armando Montiel
Born and raised in Mexico City Armando is a pioneer, he was the first percussionist that from salsa orchestras started playing with the most relevant jazz bands and Pop artists, he open the door for a new generation of percussionist that had easier the path to perform in big stages and concerts.
To mention a few he played for 11 years with Hector Infanzon’s quartet, he played, toured and recorded with Armando Manzanero, probably the best known Mexican composer internationally, Jazz bands as the legendary Sacbe among many others, he is currently playing and touring with the pop singer Arjona.
