Learn about improvisation in gypsy jazz & Denis Chang’s personal approach. As a teacher, Denis is highly sought-after; he is regularly invited to give workshops in the context of his numerous tours since 2004. Students have traveled from as far as South Africa, the UK, California, for private lessons. Workshops have been held across Canada, the USA, Asia, and Europe. Denis also runs DC Music School where he has produced lessons for Pat Martino, Ulf Wakenius, Justin Bieber, Bireli Lagrene, Frank Vignola. Denis share their approaches too and how it all ties in to finding your own personal style.

Joining Denis, is Malaysia’s very own Az Samad who will share his experience learning the gypsy jazz style coming from a contemporary jazz & fingerstyle guitar background. In addition to learning from Denis & Az, you’ll also hear them play together and explain the music. This is a very rare opportunity to learn about the gypsy jazz style right here in Kuala Lumpur.
