The first thing Midnight Fusic would like you to know about them is that they are not a boy band. With three out of its four members still in their final year of high school, this four-piece, alternative rock outfit is out to prove that what they lack in age and experience, they more than make up for in passion, dedication and hard work.

Midnight Fusic came together over their love for alternative and indie rock music. Vocalist and rhythm guitarist Raja Arif Aizudin, and lead guitarist Adrien Danial decided that their duo needed to expand. Arif said that while talent was important, both him and Adrien decided that they rather have members they gelled with musically, than people who were extremely talented but didn’t get on with the rest. Fortunately enough, they found Firdaus Azmi, a self-taught bassist who learned his craft watching YouTube videos, and Muaz Rabbani who picked up the drums when Arif and Adrian asked if he’d like to join the band.

As of today, Midnight Fusic has been performing for various events in and outside Kuala Lumpur, and writing and composing their own music for a little over two years.

Drawing inspiration from bands like 1975, Muse, Bad Suns and even local rockers Hujan, Midnight Fusic aims to create a sound that fuses heartfelt lyrics to upbeat melodies. Arif stresses that it is important that they produce lyrics that their fans can relate to personally because they want people to cultivate an appreciation for their music on levels that surpass a catchy chorus or a funky bassline.
Signed to Sony Music Malaysia, this lively quartet is set to release their debut single, Heart Of May, in late September, while their second single, Love Sick, is due out in December 2017.
In the next year, Midnight Fusic is expected to finish and release an EP of their songs. With exciting times to look forward to, they also have their sights set on performing at music festivals in and around the region.
