Born in Penang, Malaysia, the funky songbird from the East puts together grooves, melodies, and harmonies that reflects her journey in life, love and music. With the ability to arrange and produce music organically and electronically, Irma Seleman incorporated her Malaysia roots into her music, making it her very own distinctive blend.
Seleman enrolled in the Berklee College of Music in Fall of 2011 and was awarded a scholarship. She was featured in the WWS (World Wide Success) Magazine and was announced as RAW Boston's Artist of The Day. Irma Seleman has performed in numerous venues and festivals such as the Utica Music Festival in New York, the Borneo Jazz Festival Preview and the Indie Youth Festival, as well as performing at Michael Buble’s Crazy Love Tour’s pocket stage.
