1. Isaac Ho

Isaac Ho is a local singer songwriter currently based in Penang. Starting out three years ago with a dream to one day play songs for the masses, Isaac has been pursuing his passion with immense tenacity ever since. Traveling between KL, Penang and even Sabah and Sarawak for shows, Isaac is active within the Malaysian music gig circuit.

A small boy in a small town, growing up was quiet but music had always played a large part in Isaac's life story. Stringing words together to let out how he felt: alone, detached and foreign within the walls of his room, songwriting came naturally to him as he started picking up the guitar late into his teenage years. Isaac's songs are a mix of acoustic folk and pop, taking cues from Ed Sheeran, John Mayer and Owl City.

Often seen equipped with his guitar and loop station, Isaac's live performances are a spectacle to be witnessed. Layering vocals with cascading harmonies over his guitar work, audiences are left drenched in haunting soundscapes throughout the night. Coupled with an energetic and fun stage presence, Isaac always rises up to the challenge of entertaining crowds no matter big or small.

2. Ian Tai

For the last decade, Ian Tai has juggled deconstructing the myth of modern Malaysia, being a hidden kingmaker in publishing and broadening the country's musical scope. Now reaching the twilight of his 10-year plan, Tai's days as a musician are numbered...and he's looking forward to what comes next.

Join the musical grifter as he stares down the end with pride. And watch the first phase of him removing himself from your picture with precision, before all you'll hear from him is silence.

Follow Ian's band, The Propositions!, a lowkey outfit with small ambitions and big hearts at facebook.com/ThePropositions. Their next EP, KAYFABE, is coming on 22 December, 2018.

3. Eloise Lau

Eloise Lau is a folk-pop singer-songwriter who has written songs in the full range of the emotional spectrum, from not wanting to get our of bed to wanting to watch a person burn and fall. An experienced performer, she has graced the stages at both local and international venues - as the only Malaysian representative at the 2013 ChildAid Asia concert in Tokyo and most recently at Urbanscapes2017's #rediscoverKL. In 2016, she embarked on an ambitious song-writing project as a part of her thesis in her final year of university, which gained recognition from local press. She was also nominated as one of the best College/Uni acts at the 2016 VIMA awards and was interviewed as a featured guest Astro VBuzz which was aired exclusively on local TV. Expect to see more of Eloise Lau in 2018!

4. SHN ft. Sek Hao

SHN is the freshest upcoming act about to hit the pop scene. Stemming from a singer-songwriter background, SHN’s biggest intent is to tell stories through her music, infusing electronic elements with live instruments that all play a part in the expression of her thoughts and emotions.

Her music ranges from vibrant upbeat danceable music all the way to soft intimate sessions with her listeners, aiming to share a moment that is unique and special in every way. Her craft draws influences from poetry, life stories and music from multiple genres focusing on creating a singular collective sound, SHN. Not to mention performances that are guaranteed both electric and heartfelt in a night’s affair.

Her debut single, “If You Don’t” ushers and introduces SHN into the industry, with bright light-hearted confessions of love and loyalty. She talks of finally being conscious of the love that surrounded her through thick and thin - and her response, declaring that she will not go where that love does not.

"If You Don't" is released with a coupled Mandarin version called, "I Won't Go".

Sek Hao

Malaysian-bred, Sek Hao is a 23-year old indie singer/songwriter/producer. Started out as a vocalist, he has also ventured into different aspects of music inclusive of both production and songwriting.
The recent announcing of his arrival in the scene with his EP, “Be" is an act to look out for. His meticulously crafted selection of songs - a journey that takes the listener from frenzied highs to slow-burning emotional trips, and back again. Bringing an eclectic electronic twist to his childhood rock influences, Sek Hao’s debut “BE” EP is a fresh take on this genre in an age where many newer acts shy away from organic, rip-roaring guitars and thumping rhythm sections.
