Eric Li (piano)

Eric has worked and recorded with known names in the music business internationally and regionally, including the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO), Latin Grammy multi-winner Nestor Torres, Hong Kong and Taiwan POP artist Andy Lau, Lee Hom, as well as Verdine White and Ralph Johnson from The Earth Wind & Fire (USA), and the list goes on.

John Thomas (drums)

John Ashley Thomas started playing drums since he was 3 years old. With credits that include working with Grammy award-winning flautist, Nestor Torres, touring the Blue Note circuit in Japan with Motown legends, The Three Degrees, and playing at numerous jazz festivals including Arts Alive Jazz Fest in South Africa and Jarasum International Jazz in South Korea.

Fly (bass)

Born in 1977 in Malaysia, FLY started started his studies by majoring in Music at UiTM Malaysia in 1998 and completed his Bachelor degree in the year 2003. He is currently teaching at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam (since 2004) and Akademi Seni Budaya dan Warisan (ASWARA), Kuala Lumpur (since 2007). He has performed at numerous jazz festivals all over the world.

Kevin Choo (sax)

Steve Thornton (percussionist)

Percussionist Steve Thornton is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Before moving to Malaysia in 1997, Thornton lived and worked in New York. In the course of his formidable recording career he has worked and recorded with saxophonist Sadao Watanbe, and continues this gig today. Thornton has also worked with and appeared on albums by Herbie Hancock, Mongo Santamaria, jazz legend Miles Davis, and pianist McCoy Tyner, as well as Tracy Chapman, Mariah Carey, and Michael Jackson. His playing is particularly well displayed on albums by jazz vocalist Tania Maria and by romantic crooner Jon Lucien. Most recently, Thornton released an album under his own name ("Nature's Plan"), and appeared on a CD with Keiko Lee, a jazz vocalist popular in Japan.

Marco Alonso (guitars & vocals)

Marcos Alonso Brito was schooled in electric guitar at the Escuela Nacional de Arte in Havana and graduated in 1999. He started his professional career in 2000, as a member of Afrocuba, a group which is recognised throughout his native Cuba and internationally.

He has been a member of the orchestra Gardi, the group Sugar Band and has accompanied the singer Leonie Torres. Marcos is in high demand as a studio guitarist and was featured as ‘Andi Montanes’ on Cuban and international recordings, many of which have earned Grammy Latino Awards. Furthermore he is an accomplished composer and arranger.
