Mad & Rissa (Mad dan Rissa) is an indie pop band from Malacca, Malaysia. Singer/Songwiter Wanjah Ali was formed the band in year 2016 as a main vocals and guitarist, Izhar as the drummer.
Their first debut EP called Ambiguitas was released on 1st December 2017 on digital platform. Their music can
be described as indiepop/rock with some 80’s & 90’s retro/soul pop inspiration from Daryl Hall & John Oates, Michael Kiwanuka, Curtis Harding, Menahan Street Band, Geowulf and Malaysian legend Alleycats. The named of Mad & Rissa comes from the combining Wanjah Ali’s children’s name, Madani & Marissa.
