SOUNDS OF KITES / // /
"It is not about the sounds flying kites make. But of the sounds, emotions and hope flying kites give to those around them". Sounds Of Kites is the moniker of folk singer/song-writer Wan Umar Shahid, whose ideas of emotions are better portrayed in the music he makes. Hailing from Subang Jaya, he turns to the sounds his guitar makes to better shout the love, lust, adventure and anger he endures for a chance to tell a story. With a myriad of emotions entrapped inside, he constantly pursue finding a crack in the four edged walls he's in to slither out the words and tunes his mouth and guitar make, may it be by a soft whisper, a whistle or a painful scream. Often seen performing with various guitar tunings, he embodies simplicity and intricacy on a single plate to be served hot in order to paint images of emotions each song represents. A religious believer that recurring reminders of tunes and sounds as the grand gestures forgotten tales require to be remembered, Sounds Of Kites leaves no stone unturned to ensure his listeners appreciate the less appreciated.

HF BADGER / // /
Straight from the burrows, H.F. Badger (alter-ego of singer-songwriter, Bob Ooi) is a bi-pedal creature that has zero physical resemblance to a Honey Badger. Drawing many musical influences in his life, HFB channeled his thoughts of his personal battles with love, life and religion through hill-billy, folk music that people seem to poorly categorise it as ‘hipster music’. Let HFB enthral you with his folk guitar playing, his smooth yet robust singing voice and the occasional yodelling.
