Nadir is a KL based ‘Progressive-Ethno-Fusion’ band that tastefully blends sounds that represent our different worldly experiences, culture, and the spirit of collaboration, moulded into what is uniquely, Malaysian Music with limitless sonic & cultural boundaries. Where Carnatic vocals duel with rock riffs, where sitar melodies permeate through explosive percussion and tabla cadences, where tin whistles sing with saxophone melodies, the music is most definitely not what many would expect.

Having made significant waves in the music industry through the release of their debut single “Ikan Kekek”, a reimagined rendition of the classic Malaysian folk song with more than 13,000 views and counting on YouTube, the band and their debut album ‘Synesthesia’ were featured in a 2 page interview on AugustMan magazine along with NST, Daily Seni, and was also listed among the ‘Must-Listen-To’ local albums by Malaysian online portals ‘rojakdaily.com’ and ‘Music To Look Forward To’ by TheLevel.my.

They have performed at numerous big stages and festivals namely Shantanand Festival Of Arts, headlining Riuh In The City 2018 Countdown, the 5th Malaysian Piano Jazz Festival, Publika International Jazz Fest 2018, and were the headlining act of the Borneo International Jazz Festival 2018, that led to the ongoing collaboration with renowned singer Datuk Zainal Abidin on 2 new songs, of which will be included in his upcoming album. Nadir has also collaborated with renowned artists such as Zee Avi, Bihzhu, Dasha Logan, and Cambodian superstar Laura Mam. The band also opened for Norwegian Indie outfit ‘Philco Fiction’ on the Malaysian stop of their Asian Tour.

Nadir made their international debut at the Cambodian Water Festival 2017 in Phnom Penh, playing to a crowd of 10,000+ people, and, in doing so, made history, becoming the first Malaysian band to have performed live on Cambodian national television.

Bringing you some world flavour with their rock, jazz, alternative soup, this tri-lingual band have a brand spanking new 13 track album titled 'Synesthesia' and are ready to send some great music through to the pathways of your musical soul and mesmerise you. Are you listening?

Penang-born nightingale Bihzhu is blessed with a rich, soulful voice. Combined with her genuine songcraft that she calls 'heart music', her charming presence has enchanted audiences all over the world, from intimate acoustic concerts to music festivals all over Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, China, and Australia.

Since wrapping up his 7-year career with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra in late 2015, the former Principal Trombone is now ready to take the music world by storm. With his rich experience of composing and performing music from his favourite genres; jazz, R&B, hiphop, electro, soul, funk and classical music, audiences can expect nothing less than talent, skill and continuos evolution from Q Sound.
