“Age should never stop your dreams”, this is what Syafrullah Darwis, or more commonly known as Rull Darwis, believes in. Born in Jambi in June 1964, this man has experienced the ups and downs of the music industry: from joining a music group in middle school (and even rising to national level), to becoming a part of the Kelompok Pengamen Jalanan Malioboro (Malioboro Street Singers) that became the opening act for the SWAMI's first album.

Being a music teacher in Cita Buana School in the Special Education Division since 2011 is one of his daily activities in addition to handling audio for show productions. Rull and his colleagues are often involved in French Embassy’s performance productions and other events.

His first album, Rull & The Undercover, released in 2012, affirmed his resolution to become a full-time musician. He toured many stages in many cities, slowly stabilizing his agenda, until he released his second album, Rull Darwis #2 in 2018.
Rull was heavily influenced by country, folk, and blues genres and displayed a new element in his second album. His collaboration with the lyricist produced songs that are strong in music, lyrics, and contexts. One example is his single “Always Splendidly”, whose lyrics were written by Bagus Takwin, which accompanied the release of his album. It is a song of western blues feel wrapped in ragtime rhythm from the middle until the end of the song. Accompanied with a choir and lyrics, this song succeeded in conveying optimism in everyday life.

AZMYL YUNOR // /

A former street musician, Azmyl Yunor is one of the most critically acclaimed Malaysian independent/underground artist of his generation who’s helped popularise alt-country, lo-fi folk, and singer-songwriter genres in Malaysia through relentless gigging, collaborations, and a prolific recording output since 1997 (eight solo albums and three EPs – including 2014's The Pedra Branca EP - to date). He is also known for his work with his touring band The Sigarettes and as a founding member of noise-rock band The Maharajah Commission, no wave band Ciplak, and punk band Ben’s Bitches. 

He remains a cult figure who prefers to navigate along the outer margins of the music scene and work his craft on his own terms with a very distinctive singular vision and wit.
