RUSSELL CURTIS / // /

Recording and performing artiste Russell Curtis is certainly
no stranger to the Malaysian music industry. Being a
favourite among affluent clients, his experience has taken
him past the shores of Malaysia to perform in London,
Singapore, Manila, Jakarta and various cities in the USA
including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and even Las
Vegas. His most recent international performance took him
to Japan as the only Malaysian to perform for the Kansai
Music Conference 2017.

Recording

Russell has written and produced many original songs which
have received airplay on several major radio stations.
Singles like Close To You, Sayang, Sons and Drive Me Crazy
can be heard on local radio stations like Hitz FM, TRAXXfm,
Redfm, Lite FM and BFM. The whole album is also available
on iTunes, CD Baby and Spotify. He is currently signed to
Malaysian recording label Cranky Music under the production
of Aubrey Suwito.

Russell is currently working on his second album which will
be launched in the U.S. as well as in Malaysia.

Industry Accolades

In November 2013, Russell Curtis defeated nine other
countries and was crowned Grand Champion at the Yamaha
Asian Beat Band Competition held in Jakarta. This makes his
the only Malaysian team to have emerged as champions
overseas in the 20 years that the competition has been
running.

After launching his debut album in 2014, he received two
AIM (Anugerah Industri Muzik) nominations for “Best New
Artiste” and “Best English Song Of The Year” for his own
composition, Sons.

Projects

In 2013, Russell recorded a song titled “Antara Kita" with
Ning Baizura which can be heard on her album, Kekal. He
went on to perform the duet live with Ning during her
Malaysian tour.
