Sherine & Friends

Sherine is a Hong Kong-based jazz singer who has just released her debut album in Hong Kong. She is currently promoting her album in Asia and New York.

For one night only at NBT, she will be playing original tunes from her jazz album and jazz standards with top-notch Malaysian musicians namely Tay Cher Siang (keys), Az Samad (guitar), Julian Chan (saxophone), AJ (upright bass), and Kae Vin (drums).

Sherine Wong’s musical path has been a journey, which started over three decades ago in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and continues to this day all over the world.

Though singing called to her at a young age, Sherine’s varied interests meant that she first became Malaysia’s track and field representative at the Asia Games. This attention eventually culminated in being selected as both a Miss Malaysia Universe winner and a Miss Asia representative. Subsequently, Sherine’s model looks enabled her to work on a long series of television and print campaigns for such clients as the Malaysian Tourist Board, HSBC, Ocean Park, Vidal Sassoon, Levi’s, Samsung and Shiseido, as well as dozens of others. The poise Sherine displayed in these commercials lead to a starring role in the Japanese independent film “Fly Me To Minami”.
