A winner and 5-time nominee at Malaysia's Anugerah Industri Music, Reza Salleh is a central figure in Malaysia's thriving singer-songwriter scene. He describes his music as “a little bit of everything”, drawing from pop, grunge, R&B, folk and a lot of other genres he grew up listening to. He is often seen as an intimate, solo acoustic act or backed by a trio/quartet.
Not bound by just Malaysian soil, Reza has played in Australia, Laos, Singapore, Thailand, Korea, Indonesia and Japan. He has been invited to perform at the 19th Sunset Live Festival in Fukuoka, in 2011 and was invited to play the Asia Music Found showcase and the Nakasu Jazz Festival the following year in the same city.
Reza Salleh's music leans towards the personal, based on his own experiences and observations about love, life and the world. Distilled into simple moments, he tries to convey his songs as snapshots of those stories.
