Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazilian pianist, composer and songwriter Antonio Carlos Jobim was one of the most influential musicians of the past century. Jobim teamed up fellow musicians Joao Gilberto and Stan Getz in 1964 for the Getz/Gilberto album, which went on to spark a global obsession of the subtle, whispery, jazz-influenced song style we know and love today as Bossa Nova.
Coming together for one evening only to pay tribute to the beloved musician is gifted Jazz and R&B vocalist Kirana Kay, with wide array of modern contemporary repertoire. And Hady Afro Trio, comprised of Karim on percussions, Chewan on bass and the man himself, Hady Afro on guitar.
