WANTED SYMPHONY // //
Singer-songwriter Daniel W is as talented a musician and as charismatic a performer as they come. Known to most by the popular moniker Wanted Symphony, Daniel writes music that is strong, passionate and relatable. With a genre orientation of acoustic pop / RnB, his trademark skill on the keyboards and his unique combination of range, power and technique with his vocals have seen Wanted Symphony expand its wings far and wide.
With award nominations, radio airplay, media coverage and plenty of performing experience under his belt, 2017 and beyond might carve Daniel’s landmark years ahead but in the time since he hit the ground running, he most definitely has his feet firmly planted where it needs to be – right in the hearts of his listeners. Always carrying a story and a heart to inspire, Wanted Symphony is probably best defined by the passion he has for his craft.
TASHYA'S INK / // /
Tashya's Ink is a 4-piece band based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Formed in 2008, Tashya's Ink is fronted by Tashya Basir, with Iriz Abdullah on lead guitar, Zarul Ikhwan (Ike) on bass and Syarizwan (Wan) on drums.
In 2007, Tashya Basir began realising her dream as a singer-songwriter after winning the first season of LG MyStarz, a reality tv show for singing talents. In early 2008, from what started out as a search for a backing band, Tashya ended up searching for fulltime bandmates. Her search was difficult at the beginning. Tashya and Nakim, an experienced bassist from the local music scene, performed with few well known guitarists and drummers throughout the year. At that time, they could not yet find a permanent guitarist and drummer. It was in mid 2009 that Tashya managed to gather a stable line-up. Tashya and Nakim took on two new members; Iriz on lead guitar and Jone Yeoh on drums. Together, they performed in a significant number of shows and slowly began making a name for themselves. One most prominent performance for the band at that time was the Global Battle of the Bands.
By the end of 2009, and with a few original materials, written by Tashya, in their hands, Tashya's Ink took a more relaxing tone and performed in more acoustic shows. Unfortunately, by April 2010, Nakim and Jone left the band. Tashya and Iriz, however, managed to find replacements for their bassist and drummer. In May 2010, Ike and Wan filled up the empty seats. Their musicianship and style fits like gloves to the sound of Tashya's Ink. With this new line-up, the band undertook a more serious path in their musical career and also opted for an edgier sound for their music. Fete De La Musique 2010 was the first show that Tashya, Iriz, Ike and Wan performed as a band. And from then on, their adventure begins....and continues to this day.
